Talk Recruitment's services are free to teachers, teachers can create a profile and register interest in jobs on the site and there is no cost at any time in the process.

Centres can view teachers and express interest for free, they can post one-off or multiple jobs on the marketplace for free.  

Centres only pay fees if they hire a teacher for relief or permanent roles. For relief placements, there is a fixed daily fee for schools or hourly rates if ECE as per the current Talk Recruitment rate card.  
For permanent placements, a set percentage of the teachers salary is charged once a person is hired.

Permanent Staffing Options

We can help you fill your job vacancies with four permanent staffing options, we work with you on the first three and the fourth is a new option to get a personalised service to fill urgent and hard to fill roles. We work with you through the recruitment journey to source the best teachers available for your centre, we make sure of it.

1. Job Board

The permanent recruitment journey starts with adding your jobs to the Talk recruitment Job Board. ​

Load your job vacancies for FREE and get underway in filling your jobs, from ECE teachers, head teachers, centre managers, administrators to cooks.​

Once your job is up on the job board we can share it with the entire Talk team of teachers and market the job New Zealand wide.

2. Temporary to Permanent

Once your job is up on the Job Board we share your job with the Talk relief team which is made up of hundreds of ECE teachers both qualified and unqualified. Any candidates that are interested in your jobs are introduced to you for an interview and/or trial for 2 weeks, we call this a 'temp to perm' placement.  

The great thing about 'temp to perm' placements is you get to see the teacher in action before offering a full time contract.

3. Traditional Permanent

A traditional recruitment placement service where a success fee is paid on the successful placement of a teacher at the centre. We advertise and source candidates for you and then present suitable candidates that best fit with your job description on the job board.

Once you have reviewed a candidates information you can then arrange a time for an interview and move to fill your job vacancy.

4. Consultancy Service

Our consultancy service is a pay as you go, recruitment service, and we take pride in calling it the best way to recruit ECE teachers in the current market. ​

When you work with Talk, your Consultant will support you through the entire hiring process, from creating a job description to arranging interviews. Their mission will be to source and vet potential candidates and find the best teachers available that are good fit for your ECE team.
